The original owners of Strongbow, owners of a turkey farm, were Dr. Walter Thrun and his wife, Bess. They opened Strongbow Inn in the early 1940’s. Strongbow not only had a dining room, there were also eight cabins for overnight guests and three gas pumps. When Dr. Thrun passed away in 1951, Caroline Thrun Adams (Chuggie) and her husband, Chuck, remained and ran Strongbow for the next several decades.
In the 1980’s, turkeys disappeared from the property—but never from the menu as the tradition for the best turkey around continued on.
In 1993, Russ Adams and his wife, Nancy, purchased the restaurant from Russ’s parents.
In 2013, Luke purchased Strongbow from Russ and Nancy Adams. Luke is a third-generation, family-owned company that has diversified into various commercial divisions.

The Bakery Manager position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Bakery department. The Manager is also responsible for the supervision of a team of partners working toward a common goal. Responsibilities include duties in any position within the bakery. In addition, this position is responsible for increasing guest confidence and loyalty by promoting and executing consistent operating conditions, providing courteous, knowledgeable and prompt service and a friendly atmosphere in the department.
